Mark has extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of advanced prototypes for academic and industrial R&D. He takes a hands-on approach to every project, with skills in CAD, CAM, drafting, FFM and SLA 3D printing, as well as CNC machining. He is a fully qualified engineer with a B.E. (Hon 1) and a B.Sc from the University of Sydney.
Nicholas has been part of full spectrum of research, development and implementation. He has worked in factories and on ships at sea, designed and tested prototypes in the laboratory, and developed engineering and business case models for complex systems. Nicholas graduated from UNSW Sydney with majors in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Studies.
Dr Menictas has been actively involved in the energy efficiency sector for over 20 years and has made significant contributions to industry in terms of development of national and international test standards for increasing energy efficiency. His research interests include: energy storage; flow battery and fuel cell systems; energy harvesting; temperature shifting devices for bio-medical applications, refrigeration and air conditioning efficiency optimisation; and thermal morphing. Dr Menictas is the Australian Project Leader for the newly established German-Australian Alliance for Electrochemical Technologies for Storage of Renewable Energy at UNSW.
